Hope Development Volunteers (HDV) was started in 2010 by local Africans who understand where your volunteering efforts will make an effective impact on the lives of the local communities. We live here, have grown up here and have seen firsthand the struggles that have been faced in the communities where your help is needed
We understand the needs of the projects which run these volunteer placements and we only list meaningful worthy volunteer placements in Africa. We are an organization without any political or religious or sectarian affiliation.
HDV is set in an African tradition way of life thus focusing on its vision to improve the peoples way of life by working with them from grass root levels.
Hope Development Volunteers, this project is dedicated to supporting development through linking volunteers and charitable organizations around the world, especially in Africa.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to give something back regardless of age or disability.
Our 3 main programs:
• Meaningful worthy volunteer projects
• Responsible Travel and Adventure Safaris
• Meaningful Internship Programs
We don`t run placements, instead we work with charities all over Africa to develop their own placements. Our aim is to enhance development by linking volunteer skills with urgent need throughout Africa.
Types of Projects:
• Orphan Support and Education
• Safe Water
• Women and Children Rights
• Youth Work and Community development
We are here to help at all stages of your volunteering process, from choosing your placement, to support during your adventure.
For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Also we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field: Volunteerism and Tourism.
