Germano-Philia e.V. is an association in Togo which carries out and supports various social, cultural and education projects. We would like to represent the people of Togo by taking part in any discussion of, decisions about and questions of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Togo and German-speaking countries.

We have given ourselves the task of invoking the friendliness and solidarity which exists between our people and the Germans in order to enable students of German, German repatriates and germanophiles generally to achieve their full potential through private initiatives, business start-ups and self employment, and for them to be a part of the cultural, economic and social development of their country.

Our members’ main concern is to be able to make use of their German in diverse ways and to have contact with native German speakers, as well as to be in touch with students of German throughout the world.

Germano-Philia wants to be a point of contact for German companies, organisations and visitors looking for support in Togo in their mother tongue. We set up private friendships or business connections, so that we can involve ourselves in international exchanges, thus contributing to the advancement our country.

Our activities include:

• welcoming and liaising for German-speaking volunteers,
• an au-pair program,
• a mentor program and an exchange program for foreign students of German,
• supporting private self-employment initiatives,
• co-operation contracts for collaboration with German-speaking organisations etc.

Komi Amavi is the chairman of the association.

On request, we can offer other net participants a consultation, an expert opinion or make a presentation. We can provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
